11 Things

Recently, Mary Kate invited us to post a blog featuring 11 Things about Kyle P. Dempsey. Well, normally we do not like to follow these blogging trends - rather we set the trends!  However, Mary Kate has been one of our greatest fans and longtime followers so we decided to take her up on the offer.  Additionally this is a great way for us to boost the informational content of this highly informative blog.  And so, here are 11 Things About Kyle P. Dempsey:

1) Favorite "guilty splurge" food and why?
Everyone knows that I rarely follow directions and listening is really not my strong suit.
2) Are Bucket Lists a good idea or not (must defend your position)?
Oh yes. Bucket lists are definitely a good idea because if you fail to plan you plan to fail, I always say.  My bucket list includes some of the following: mow the lawn because it is really getting to be a jungle out there, travel the pan-American highway, enjoy a drink in every country in Epcot's countries of the world, win an Oscar or Tony award, learn a foreign language, and bring the world highly informational content via a really great webshow.
3) Orange Sherbet or Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough?
My wife loves Orange Sherbet but I am more of a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough guy myself. Still, if my wife was kind enough to go out to the ice cream shop and buy me orange sherbet I would certainly accept it graciously. Am I right folks?
4)  If you had to give up one secular Christmas tradition, what would it be?
 Buying presents for the kids.
5) If you could choose to play any professional sport (you have been bitten by a radioactive spider thereby giving you super-powers), which one would it be?
Soccer.  Definitely.
6) What one phobia (diagnosed or undiagnosed) do you have that no one knows about?
Let's go back to the Orange Sherbet thing. It really is a cool and refreshing dessert for a hot summer night and reminds me of many trips to sultry tropical climes. Ahhhhh. Aruba, Jamaica, ooooh I wanna take ya to Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty Mama.
7) Favorite childhood song?
"My own webshow" by kylepdempseyonlineinformationdotcom. Just sitting here now I am hearing it run through my brain as I smile and nod my head in time to the beat...
8) What kitchen utensil/gadget/small appliance could you NEVER do without?
Of course we do a lot of cooking here on the webshow to produce and film our famous healthy snack segments.  We have vegetarian followers and even a few vegans, but primarily our fans enjoy a good steak.  Honestly though, our pan-fried chicken chili has always been our most bookmarked page. Which was your favorite recipe?
9) Obituaries: enjoy reading them or not?
Yes.  We love the informational content.
10) You inherit 2 million dollars and decide to keep this fact a secret. Do you spend it slowly & judiciously or do you save it, planning on leaving it all to your family upon your death?
I would write a blog about it and leave it up to the followers of this blog to decide. But sometimes I hide a couple grand in a coffee can in the garage.
11) If there was one book you could go back and un-read, which one would you choose?
Cary Grant. I hated that movie where he took an RV trip with his family and all sort of wacky hijinks ensued.  It was very cliche.
